The Omakase Pass · Nashville

Questions, answered.

Everything you might want to know before you host a private omakase or sushi chef at home in Nashville. If your question isn't here, email hello@theomakasepass.com and we'll answer it personally.

What's included in the price?

Everything but the table. Your chef brings the fish, the ingredients, and their own tools, and handles preparation, service, and cleanup. You provide the kitchen and the guests. Final quotes depend on your menu and party size.

How far in advance should I book?

As much notice as you can give us helps. Each event is matched to an individual chef's calendar, and weekends fill quickly, so earlier means more options. Once we have your date, we'll confirm a chef who fits.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Plans change, and we'll always try to work with you. The exact deposit and cancellation terms are confirmed in writing when you book.

Do I need to provide anything?

Just your kitchen and your guests. Your chef arrives with ingredients and tools. Your everyday plates and glassware are usually perfect; if a menu calls for anything special, we'll tell you well in advance.

How are chefs vetted?

Every chef is independently vetted for skill, sourcing, and hospitality before they ever cook for a guest. We'd rather represent five exceptional chefs than fifty adequate ones.

What about dietary restrictions or allergies?

Tell us when you reach out. Omakase is built around the chef reading the room, and most needs, from vegetarian courses to shellfish allergies, can be planned for. Serious allergies go straight to your chef so the whole table can relax.

Do you do private chef date nights or dinners for two?

Yes. The Counter for Two is a private omakase built for exactly that: a chef prepares the full course-by-course experience for just the two of you, at home. It's one of our most requested ways to mark an anniversary, a proposal, or simply a night worth remembering.

Can you do a private sushi chef for a birthday party?

Yes. Birthdays are one of our most requested occasions, from a milestone celebration to a quiet dinner at home. For a larger, livelier group, The Sushi Party puts a chef and a live station in the middle of the room. For something more intimate and seated, The Omakase Table is the one.

Do you cater bachelorette parties in Nashville?

We do. A chef working the room with handrolls and nigiri made to order turns a bachelorette weekend into something people actually remember. The Sushi Party is built for exactly this: social, abundant, and hands-on, for up to 25 guests.

Can you host a sushi party at home?

Yes. The Sushi Party brings a private sushi chef and a live station to your home: handrolls and nigiri made to order for up to 25 guests. You host the night; the chef handles the sushi.

Can I book a private chef for an anniversary or rehearsal dinner?

Absolutely. For an intimate anniversary, The Counter for Two brings a private omakase for just the two of you. For a larger celebration or a rehearsal dinner, The Omakase Table seats your whole group for a chef-curated tasting, course by course, with no restaurant reservation to plan around.

Do you do corporate dinners or client events?

Yes. A private omakase makes an unusually memorable client dinner or team celebration. Tell us the occasion and group size, and we'll match a chef to your party and handle the details.
